For Market Research participants

This policy explains how Auger Insights Ltd uses and processes your data if you have been selected for a market research project. For information about how we use and retain information on our website, please visit our Privacy Policy (Website & Marketing)

Who we are

Auger Insights Ltd (“Auger Insights”) is an independent market research company who recruits respondents to take part in qualitative market research. Auger Insights Ltd complies with GDPR Regulations in the UK, US Data Protection law, and the Market Research Society’s (MRS) Code of Conduct.

If you have been selected as a participant (“respondent”) in a market research activity, please review the below privacy information about how we process and maintain your data.

What information is collected about you?

Auger Insights Ltd collects information about you when you consent to take part in market research. This might include (but is not limited to) the following methods: Zoom or video-conferencing interviews, focus groups, face-to-face interviews, telephone interviews, digital diaries, or online research communities. The information is collected from you with your consent.

We collect information about you to make sure you are a good fit for our project. Auger Insights will only collect data that verifies your eligibility to take part in the specific project you are being recruited for.

How do we use this information?

All data collected by Auger Insights is stored in encrypted files which are password protected. The data is retained for up to 6 months after collection and then will be deleted securely.

The information we collect will be shared with the moderator or researcher responsible for your project. All personal information provided to the moderator, researcher, interviewer, or host is encrypted and password protected.

Unless we specify otherwise at the time of recruitment, the information is not shared with the company, brand, or person who has commissioned the research. This is to ensure that all of our findings are confidential and anonymous. You will be notified in writing at the time of recruitment if we intend to share your data externally.

If your research interview is being held in a venue, the host at the venue may be provided with your name and contact number only. This is so that you can be contacted in the event of any delays, or if you do not show up at your allocated time.

Please note: you will not be contacted about anything other than the project for which you have been recruited. When you are recruited, your recruiter will ask you to confirm that you are happy to be re-contacted by Auger Insights about the project.

With your permission, Auger Insights collects your contact details – this may include your name, address, telephone number, and email address. This information has been provided by you, with your consent. We only use this information to contact you for potential recruitment projects. Your details will be password protected, stored electronically, and only accessed by Auger Insights’ fieldwork team.
